1. Our commitment
Ambulant Solutions wants this website to be usable by as many people as reasonably possible, including people who use assistive technology or navigate in different ways.
Accessibility is being considered throughout the website’s design, content and development rather than added only after completion.
2. Using this website
The website is being designed so visitors can:
- Navigate using a keyboard without requiring a mouse.
- See a visible focus indicator around interactive controls.
- Skip directly to the main page content.
- Zoom and resize text without losing essential content.
- Use pages on desktop, tablet and mobile screen sizes.
- Understand links, headings, labels and instructions.
- Use properly associated labels and guidance on form fields.
- Reduce unnecessary motion through browser preferences.
We use semantic HTML wherever possible so browsers and assistive technologies can understand page structure and relationships.
3. Accessibility target
We are using the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2, level AA, as the design and testing target for this website.
WCAG is organised around four broad principles: content should be perceivable, operable, understandable and robust.
WCAG 2.2 AA is currently our target. We will not claim full conformance until the completed production website has been tested and identified issues have been assessed.
4. Current status
The website is currently under development and has not yet completed its final accessibility audit.
Accessibility measures already incorporated include:
- A consistent heading hierarchy and page structure.
- A keyboard-accessible skip link.
- Visible focus styling.
- Responsive layouts without a separate mobile site.
- Labels and guidance for enquiry-form controls.
- Text alternatives for meaningful images.
- Decorative images hidden from assistive technologies.
- Support for reduced-motion preferences where motion is used.
- Self-hosted fonts and limited client-side scripting.
5. Known limitations
No unresolved accessibility limitation has yet been formally accepted, but further issues may be discovered during manual and automated testing.
The final review will specifically examine:
- Colour contrast across text, controls and focus indicators.
- Keyboard navigation at every responsive layout.
- Screen-reader structure and form announcements.
- Content at high zoom and narrow viewport widths.
- Target sizes and spacing for interactive controls.
- Error identification and recovery in the contact form.
This section will be updated if a limitation remains when the website launches.
6. Feedback and assistance
If you have difficulty accessing part of this website, or need information in another format, contact:
Please tell us which page or feature caused difficulty and, where helpful, the browser or assistive technology being used. Do not include passwords or sensitive personal information.
We will consider the issue and explain what assistance or alternative we can reasonably provide.
7. Testing and review
This statement was prepared while the new website was under development.
Before launch, the production build will be reviewed using a combination of automated checks and manual testing. Manual testing will include keyboard navigation, responsive layouts, zoom and representative assistive-technology checks.
The statement will then be updated with the audit date, conformance position and any known limitations. It will also be reviewed when the website receives a material design or functionality change.
